Exploring the World
Hiking, Kayaking, and Experiencing Nature Since 2010
From 2010 onward, each year has sparked a wonderful trip to a unique and beautiful destination. Iceland, Belize, Alaska, Guyana.. let's hope the list keeps going on!
Guadalupe Mountains National Park
Sometimes, you just need to hit the desert and be around the tumbleweed and.... lush greenery? Maybe get some cacti, maples, mountain goats, mule deer, jackrabbits, and antelope squirrels (great name) in the mix.
To quote Jonny:
Dear friends, family and confused medical professionals,
We are not going to:
We are going to GUYANA!!!
Gates of the Arctic, the other Alaskan National Park. Accessible only by propeller planes, with infrequent daily trips and highly weather-dependent travel. And beautiful, consistent daylight at the height of summer. Pretty amazing.
Is it possible to fit 13 people on a tiny island for a week? How many of you have seen baby sea turtles hatching at night? Or been woken by a nesting sea turtle attempting to dig a hold underneath your tent?
2011.07.27 - 2011.08.07
In 2011, six friends traveled to Iceland to experience one of the most beautiful, scenic places in the world. No rain, snow, or sickness could dampen the experience.

Banff National Park
2012.07.01 - 2012.07.06
Almost 20 years after my first visit to Banff, my family visited again. There is almost no skill necessary to capture the spectacular natural beauty.
